Another theatre trip with Phoebe, another dash into Seven Dials Market, and keen to have something different this time, we both end up at Yum Bun for some bao. I order the two meats, she orders the two veggies, so between us we’ve managed the main menu. For me, that’s a fried chicken bao with pickles and mayo, and a pork belly bao with cucumber and a nice glaze of hoi sin sauce. The latter is the better of the two, but both were perfectly servicable, and the fries were fries.
